WHY VOLUNTEERING IS SO REWARDING

WHY WE BELIEVE VOLUNTEERING IS SO REWARDING

PURPOSE

Volunteering creates a sense of purpose, we believe our volunteers can thrive through knowing they are doing something liberating for themselves and for others. Many young people today are stuck at a cross roads with their goals and ambitions through an array of various barriers. We support and guide them through these challenges, and we believe that volunteering with us is a step closer to helping them achieve their true potential.

LEARN AND GROW

Life is all about learning, volunteering helps you to take on new challenges and progresses your own personal well-being through growing your existing skills and learning new ways to deal with life’s struggles. Our volunteers not only build on their existing skills but they help others to do the same, and they have even become the peers of our organisation.

MEET NEW PEOPLE

It can be scary meeting new people in new environments, but through volunteering you have the security of knowing that everyone volunteering is in a similar space to yourself and potentially going through similar issues in life, and through this you will gain new friends and even become mentors along the way.

IMPROVES MENTAL HEALTH

It has been proven that volunteering improves mental health, it can help with anxiety, low self esteem, depression and will help to see things in a new perspective. Volunteering is a great way to really feel a sense of achievement and this improves mental health immensely.

VOLUNTEERING WITH US

At Recharge we value the support that our volunteers provide.  Without them the scheme would not operate as it does today, enabling young people to access all that Recharge can offer. We have volunteer opportunities within Recharge, where you would be able to support in a variety of up and coming projects
